I've experienced it before and it worked fine. It's also a good way to keep players from joining 1 raid then leaving with a bunch of loot.

That everyone tries to improve and is open to criticism. It's also important that everyone has the same goals as the others with the amount of time you raid etc.
It is expected that all members on a regular basis check up on updated on the forum. Every guild member is expected to stay informed about changes that might affect them.
